Deep fried buffalo wings are one of my favorite foods. I often head out with friends to the pub for the endless buffalo wing special but when it’s not available I like to experiment with my own recipes. Wings to me are best when they’re super crispy and super spicy and this recipe is my go-to recipe and all of my friends love it. The secret is in the mexican extra hot sauce that I use which gives the wings an interesting flavor.
Ingredients for my special wing sauce
- Melted Unsalted Butter
- Valentina Mexican Extra Hot Sauce
- Garlic Powder
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- Cayenne Pepper
- Pattie LaBell’s Clear Pepper Sauce
- Ground Black Pepper
I don’t measure so you’ll have to experiment a bit to get the taste you like. I go very heavy on the black pepper, garlic and the cayenne to get it super spicy. Mix all of the ingredients together and set aside while you fry the wings.
Rinse the wings and then pat dry. Roll in some flour and fry twice in 350 degree oil in your deep fat fryer until they’re nice and crispy and the skin starts to get somewhat translucent. Fry up a few pounds of the wings and then thoroughly coat in the sauce.
